My Story
I became a florist in 2013, but my story started even earlier. My father would often ask me to make flowers for my mama — a woman who inspired my creativity and love for beauty. Back then, it was nearly impossible to find unique or tropical flowers in local shops, which sparked something in me: I wanted people, like my mom, to have access to blooms that truly spoke to them.
Before opening FLEUR, I spent years in the corporate world while also running a decorating business on weekends — styling small weddings, baby showers, and events, especially during the busy summer seasons. In 2019, I sold all of my rentals, and when the world shut down in 2020, I launched an online floral shop as a creative outlet while still working full-time. Eventually, I took a leap of faith, leaving my job without a set career plan — never imagining that step would plant the seed for what FLEUR would become.
Today, FLEUR carries one-of-a-kind, seasonal pieces — guided by our motto, “Unique Flowers for Unique People.” Each design is more than just an arrangement — it’s a personal story, crafted with care and intention. Alongside growing FLEUR, I’m pursuing my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, with the hope of consulting, inspiring, and helping others build brands that bring out the best version of themselves.

Lilacs will always have my heart for the nostalgia they carry, but asking me to choose a favorite flower feels like asking who my favorite child is — it changes daily. Still, there are blooms I’ll always come back to: Juliet garden roses, poppies, anemones, anthuriums, and hellebores. Each has its own character, and I love how they bring such different moods to my work.
Inspiration for me comes from everywhere — travel, art, textures, faith, furniture stores, movies, books, and of course the beauty of nature itself. I can walk into a restaurant on my day off and leave with a thousand new ideas, and traveling takes it even further — it’s impossible not to come back inspired and ready to create.

I let the flowers guide me, balancing natural movement with refined detail. Every piece is designed to feel alive and one-of-a-kind. I love studying each bloom individually — its intricate details, the layers of petals, and the unique character it brings to an arrangement.

I began with wedding décor, watching and assisting florists, then slowly started creating on my own. YouTube videos, subscriptions to designers I admired, and countless hours of trial and error became my education. Retail floristry didn’t have as much accessible learning as wedding floristry, so I had to carve my own path. Through practice, curiosity, and a love for European floral design, my skills grew over time.

Every arrangement starts with the person behind it — the note, the colors, or the inspiration the customer shares. From there, I create something that captures the mood and story of the moment. Whether it’s a birthday bouquet, a bridal piece, or a simple “just because,” each design is meant to feel personal and meaningful.

FLEUR doesn’t operate like a traditional flower shop. You won’t often find us carrying red roses, baby’s breath, or creating mass spiral arrangements — not because they aren’t beautiful, but because our focus is elsewhere. We specialize in unique, seasonal blooms and modern, organic design that feels more like art than repetition.
We also don’t major in weddings. Instead, we dedicate ourselves to creating everyday beauty — arrangements that elevate simple moments, mark milestones, and bring joy into homes, businesses, and celebrations of all kinds. By focusing on these experiences, we stay true to our philosophy: unique flowers for unique people.
